Lavender Hedgerow – Finished!

I have to admit, I basically finished this yarn last week.  I had both singles spun up, but was just too lazy to ply them together.  They’ve been sitting on my coffee table needing only the last little bit of work, and I ignored them for that tempting Evanstar shawl of mine.

Yesterday I decided it had waited long enough, however, so I picked it back up and made lovely, lovely yarn.

It’s so pretty, and I can’t wait to turn it into something for myself!  I ended up with 550 yards of fingering weight yarn.

As I had hoped, the color transitions line up pretty well with one another.  It goes brown -> purple -> brown -> green -> blue -> green -> brown and continues repeating in that manner.

I love how the colors look together.  I think they all blend well, and will hopefully make a fabulous scarf of some sort.

This is beautiful! Thanks for the tip on getting the colors to line up. I’ll have to try that 🙂

It only worked with this one because it was dyed evenly and all the colors lined up in the roving. I’m not sure it would work for everything. I’m glad you like it, though. I can’t wait to make something out of it. If only I had an idea as to what.
